Empowering 200 Rural Entrepreneurs in Selangor to Go Digital with EasyStore

A total of 200 entrepreneurs from the Kuala Selangor area participated in a free training program to learn about eCommerce from experienced industry professionals.

Jelajah Usahawan Digital Selangor, organized by the Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (SIDEC), aimed to provide rural business communities with exposure to online business opportunities and digital tools.

As an eCommerce partner, EasyStore was invited to share insights on the fundamentals of selling online and how small businesses can scale digitally—even without technical expertise.

While many urban businesses accelerated their digital transformation during the pandemic, rural entrepreneurs often lacked access to the same resources, training, and digital awareness. 

As a result, many continued operating through traditional methods due to perceived barriers like high costs and the need for IT knowledge.

This initiative helped break those misconceptions by showing that going digital doesn't have to be expensive or complicated.
