EasyStore September 2024 Product Updates
1. [POS] Voucher Scanning with Universal Scan
The Universal Scan feature in POS now supports voucher barcode scanning.
Customers can simply show their voucher in the Shopping App, allowing staff to scan and redeem it instantly—eliminating the need for manual code entry.
This update speeds up checkout, reduces wait times, and creates a more seamless loyalty experience.
Businesses can also view past transactions to see which vouchers were used.
2. [POS] Inventory Count
The new Inventory Count feature helps ensure your system stock matches your physical stock.
Staff can easily check and record stock levels, minimizing errors and improving stock accuracy—leading to smoother transactions and better customer satisfaction.
3. [Voucher] Refreshed Design for Discounts and Vouchers
We've upgraded the voucher experience across the Online Store and Shopping App:
"My Voucher" Page on Online Store
Customers can now view active, available, and used vouchers in a dedicated section—helping them discover and apply vouchers more easily during checkout.
Detailed Voucher Info
Customers can now click to view clear details on applicable products, terms and conditions, and barcode info—making redemption quicker and more accurate.
Custom Voucher Themes (Online Store only)
Businesses can now match voucher displays with their store branding by customizing colors via:Promotions > Voucher/Discount > Secondary Actions > Display Setting.
- Expandable Voucher Barcodes (Shopping App)
Customers can now tap to expand voucher barcodes in the app, making it easier for staff to scan them at checkout.
4. [Customer] View Customer Vouchers at Checkout
Retail staff can now see all available vouchers in a customer’s account during checkout.
This helps staff remind customers about unused vouchers, increasing redemption and enhancing the shopping experience.
5. [SMS Notification] Link Removal for Malaysian Numbers
To comply with SMS policies, SMS notifications to Malaysian phone numbers will no longer include clickable links.
This applies to:
Order Placed SMS
Sign-Up Voucher SMS
Voucher SMS
Birthday Voucher SMS
Additionally, the Point Redemption Voucher SMS has been disabled across all regions to prevent automatic redirection to “Active Voucher” after redemption.
6. [App] Gurney Plaza Shopping Mall Integration
Retailers in Gurney Plaza can now enjoy seamless integration between EasyStore and the mall's system:
Automatic Sales Sync: Retail transactions sync with Gurney Plaza in real time—no more manual input.
Daily Reports: Sales data is automatically compiled into daily reports, ensuring up-to-date business insights.
7. [App] KL East Mall Integration
Similar to Gurney Plaza, KL East Mall now supports full integration with EasyStore, bringing:
Real-Time Transaction Sync: Instantly update sales data with minimal errors.
Automated Daily Reporting: Get auto-generated reports for quick access to your retail performance.
8. [App] E-Invoice Malaysia Enhancement
You now have the option to automatically submit invoices individually or in bulk, giving you more flexibility in managing invoicing workflows under Malaysia’s e-invoice framework.
