Halal Development Corporation (HDC), together with Revenue Monster, brought together over 40 business owners for Grow, Engage & Get Paid, a workshop and business matching session on empowering HDC SMEs through digitalisation. EasyStore was one of the speakers of the programme, sharing how to manage online channels in one unified system.
Many small businesses already use digital tools. The workshop opened with one question: you may already be digital, but are you connected?
Think of the customer journey as one connected system
Revenue Monster's Carol Lim, Chief Operating Officer, opened the day with a simple framework: discover, sell, collect, engage and retain. A customer might find a café on social media, order online or in person, pay digitally, join a loyalty programme and return for a reward.
Each step is a chance to keep the relationship going, or to lose it. The advice was practical: digitalise with purpose, start with the business challenge, and build progressively instead of changing everything overnight.
Managing online channels in one unified system
EasyStore shared how SMEs can manage their online channels in one unified system, instead of running products, orders and customers in separate places.
This matters because a business rarely sells in only one place. Once you add a marketplace, a social channel or an outlet, scattered stock counts and orders create extra manual work. With EasyStore, your online store and sales channels run from one backend, so products and inventory and orders stay in one place as you add channels.
Nadia shared how EasyStore’s online store is equipped with AI SEO features that can help your brand’s searchability on AI platforms like Chatgpt, Claude or Google Gemini. Alongside other AI tools built-in EasyStore’s Broadcast Centre, which help brands send personalised messages and automated reminders so customers hear from you at the right moment.
The same thinking applies at Revenue Monster, where Phoebe Looi, Brand & Marketing Manager, shared how ads rent attention while games earn it, giving customers a reason to engage between visits.
Choosing how to get paid
Revenue Monster's Ken Lim walked through how to choose a payment gateway, using three questions: is it secure, is it convenient, and do you know the full cost? He also demonstrated payment links and the dashboard.
- Security - check certification and regulation.
- Convenience - payment method coverage, integration, reporting and local support.
- Rates and fees - ask about the full cost, not only the headline rate.

Making connections
The day closed with a lucky draw, merchant sign-up and Q&A, giving business owners the chance to speak directly with the speakers and partners.
Thank you to Halal Development Corporation (HDC) and Revenue Monster for hosting, and to every business owner who joined.
