EasyStore was honored to be invited to the prestigious Malaysia Top E-Commerce Merchant Awards 2023, organized by the Selangor Information Technology & Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec) at Hilton Kuala Lumpur on 27 May 2023. 

This esteemed ceremony celebrates the most successful, creative, and innovative homegrown e-commerce merchants in Malaysia.

The participation of EasyStore merchants in this award not only highlights their achievements but also underscores how EasyStore empowers businesses to thrive in Malaysia’s competitive e-commerce landscape.

What Are the Malaysia Top E-Commerce Merchant Awards?

Organized by Sidec, the Malaysia Top E-Commerce Merchant Awards aims to recognize exceptional e-commerce merchants in the country. 

It serves as a platform to reward businesses that demonstrate outstanding performance in sales, innovation, and customer engagement. 

Beyond recognition, this award helps merchants boost their visibility and credibility within the industry.EasyStore What Are the Malaysia Top E-Commerce Merchant Awards?

The 2023 awards featured four main categories:

  • Malaysia Top E-Commerce Merchant Awards: Recognizes top-performing merchants nationwide.

  • Selangor E-Commerce Merchant Awards: Highlights outstanding merchants based in Selangor.

  • AFFIN BANK Rising Star Awards: Celebrates promising new e-commerce businesses with high growth potential.

  • AFFINGEM Women Trailblazer Awards: Honors remarkable female entrepreneurs in the e-commerce sector.

To qualify, merchants must be registered with SSM, operate in B2C since at least March 2022, and have achieved either a minimum of RM25,000 in sales or 100 orders in a single month from June 2021 to June 2022. 

Judging criteria included sales and order data, livestream engagement (March–April 2023), and evaluation by a judging panel.

Founded in 2021 during the pandemic, the brand has rapidly scaled across multiple sales channels including Shopee, Lazada, and its own online store—powered by EasyStore.

Today, Bayu Somerset operates two retail outlets, with three more opening in mid-2023. Their revenue has grown 25x in just one year.
