How EasyStore’s Raya Bazaar Bridged Online and Offline Shopping
EasyStore, in collaboration with KEDAI KL, recently hosted the first-ever Raya Bergaya Bazaar—a unique weekend shopping event that brought together the best of online and offline commerce.
Held on 25–26 March 2023 at KEDAI KL, the bazaar featured over 20 local brands including Kyra Shahrol, Valent Skin, Tiqa Collection, September Bakes, and more.
The event was supported by EasyStore partners Lalamove and POS Malaysia, contributing to a seamless customer and merchant experience.
A Seamless Online-Offline Shopping Experience
The Raya Bergaya Bazaar introduced a new way of shopping powered by EasyStore’s Unified Commerce solution.
Merchants transformed their mobile devices into Point-of-Sale (POS) systems connected directly to their online stores.
This setup ensured that orders, inventory, and customer data were synced across all sales channels and managed from a single platform.
Shoppers were also encouraged to install a mobile shopping app, giving them access to vendor catalogs, account registration, and reward point collection.
The app even allowed them to continue shopping from participating vendors after the event had ended.
Turning Offline Visitors into Loyal Customers
Benang by Nini, an EasyStore merchant, launched her first offline pop-up at the bazaar. Her loyal online followers showed up in person, eager to finally experience her handmade embroidered jute bags and keychains in person—which sold out within two days.
Her success highlighted the power of a unified presence across both digital and physical spaces.
September Bakes, a Lalamove merchant, handed out free samples of their popular brookies—soft, chewy, and an instant hit. They also offered a limited-edition Raya cookie box complete with a handwritten card, combining delicious products with heartfelt customer engagement.
Collecting Leads, Building Relationships
Merchants used creative methods to stay connected with offline shoppers long after the event. For instance, Valent Skin used EasyStore’s POS system to collect customers’ phone numbers and emails during checkout.
These contacts were immediately saved under a segmented database (e.g., “Bazaar customers”) and could later be reached through SMS or email using EasyStore’s Message Broadcast feature.
Yoake Florist offered a free flower bouquet to anyone who shared their contact information, even without making a purchase. This strategy helped them collect over 80 new leads across the weekend—nearly 100 potential new customers.
