EasyStore Product Updates: April – June 2019 Recap

Half a year has flown by, and we’ve come a long way — from launching our Shopee app to expanding Facebook Marketing tools. 

New projects have kept us on our toes, but continuous product improvements remain our priority, ensuring we deliver better value and smoother experiences for our merchants.

In Q2 2019, we focused on enhancing the EasyStore admin panel, believing that a user-friendly platform helps businesses move faster and more efficiently. 

Let’s recap everything we’ve introduced and improved over the past quarter.

New Features & Enhancements

1. Google+ Sharing Tool Removed

Following the shutdown of Google+ (consumer version) on April 2, 2019, we've removed it as a sharing option. 

Customers can still share products via Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and now LINE.

2. LINE Added as a Sharing Tool

Your customers can now share products through LINE directly from your product page.

3.ATM Payment Option for MOLPay 

For merchants using MOLPay, buyers in Malaysia can now make payments via ATM, adding more flexibility to your payment methods.

4. “Add to cart” Button On Product Images

No more extra clicks! Customers can now directly add products to their cart from the product listing page. 

For products with variants, a “View Options” button will appear.

5. Payment Receipt Upload on Checkout Page

Buyers using bank transfer can now upload their payment receipts directly on the checkout page. 

You’ll receive an email notification whenever a receipt is uploaded.

6. Facebook Marketing Integration Consolidation

We streamlined 6 Facebook-related apps into one section in the Admin Panel under Facebook Marketing, making it easier to manage them in one place.Moved apps:

  • Facebook Pixel

  • Dynamic Ads

  • Facebook Store

  • Facebook Promoter

  • Send to Messenger

  • Facebook Messenger

7. Auto-Generate Random Voucher Codes

Prevent code duplication and fraud by generating unique voucher codes automatically on your promotion page.

8. Pre-filled Billing Information

When upgrading your plan or purchasing a domain, your personal details like name and email will now auto-fill, saving you time.  

9. Automated Footer Copyright Year 

Avoid forgetting to update your website’s copyright year — just insert {{year}} under General > Footer Copyright.

10. Display Brand Name on Boost Payment Page

Boost merchants can now customize the display name shown to customers during checkout. 

Change it via Settings > Payments > Boost > Merchant Name. 

11. New Order Listing Filters

Manage your orders more efficiently with additional status filters such as COD, open, pay by credit, and more.

12. Bulk Product Management Tool

We understand you amend your product details frequently and it can be time-consuming if you need to edit it one by one. 

Now, you can edit them in bulk with the latest feature - Bulk editor. 

By this, you can select the products you want to edit and edit the details at once. 

It includes price, cost price, compared price, inventory count, weight, and more.

13. Sell to the Middle East via eRomman

Expand your market with the eRomman Marketplace app. Malaysian sellers enjoy:

  • Free unlimited product listings

  • Free English to Arabic translation

  • Free Arabic SEO optimization

  • Free 7-day Hero Banner on eRomman Homepage

14. Shopee Variant-type Enhancement

Product variants synced to Shopee can now be separated individually instead of being grouped into one option.

15. Zendesk App Update

We revamped the Zendesk app with a cleaner look and made it compatible with the latest Zendesk script changes.

16. Revamped App Store

With over 90 apps available, we redesigned the App Store for a better browsing experience. 

We added a Staff Picks section and a Customers Also Installed section for recommendations.

17. Multi-Page Checkout Design Update

We enhanced the design of our multi-page checkout, improving button styles, background colors, order summaries on mobile, and overall user experience.

18. New Store Theme: MAKER

Introducing MAKER, our new theme designed with a premium, modern look. 

It features a sticky menu bar, cart shortcuts, testimonial sections, and more. It’s now our most-installed theme.
