The session explored current e-commerce trends and offered insights into strategies that enable Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) to thrive in the digital marketplace.
According to the E-commerce Southeast Asia (SEA) Barometer Report—a study by Ninja Van Group and DPDgroup—online shopping allows consumers to choose from a wider variety of brands and shop conveniently from anywhere.
In Malaysia, 94% of online consumers already purchase from across Asia.
The report also highlighted the growing influence of online feedback:
93% of Malaysian consumers share reviews about their purchases.
83% are influenced by social media figures when choosing brands.
This signals a critical opportunity for online retailers to go digital and expand their global reach.
