Empowering Aspiring Entrepreneurs Through Digital Skilling with EasyStore
Intellect Academy Malaysia, an HRD Corp-certified training provider, organized a 5-day digital skilling program titled “I Am Digital Ready”, supported by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) and Persatuan Pengilang & Industri Perkhidmatan Bumiputra Malaysia (PPIBM).
The program is part of MDEC’s Digital-Up initiative, which aims to provide opportunities for Malaysians to develop essential digital skills such as ecommerce and digital marketing—empowering them to succeed in the fast-evolving digital economy.
The 5-day program kicked off with an official launch at Hotel Olympic, Kuala Lumpur, officiated by Mr. Gopi Ganesalingam, Senior Vice President at MDEC, and Datuk Azman Yusoff, President of PPIBM.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Gopi highlighted the importance of continuous upskilling and reskilling in response to the rapid shifts in consumer behavior and the digital business landscape.
EasyStore as the Ecommerce Training Partner
One of the key components of the program was focused on ecommerce. EasyStore was selected as the official ecommerce partner to conduct hands-on training and provide ecommerce solutions to participants.
Throughout the training, participants learned how to build and design a fully functional ecommerce website using EasyStore’s platform. With guidance from EasyStore’s trainer, all 22 participants successfully launched their own professional ecommerce websites in less than 48 hours.
Going Beyond Ecommerce: Digital Marketing with TikTok
In addition to ecommerce site development, participants were also introduced to essential digital marketing tactics—including how to leverage TikTok to drive traffic to their newly built online stores.
This practical training helped participants understand how to reach modern consumers through relevant and engaging digital content.
Final Presentations and Recognition
The program concluded with a closing ceremony held at PPIBM’s office, where participants presented their business plans using the skills and tools they gained during the training.
Awards were presented for the Best Digital Marketing Strategy and Best Ecommerce Website, recognizing participants who stood out for creativity and application of knowledge.
Overall, the program was a resounding success and received highly positive feedback from attendees. It marked another step forward in fostering digital entrepreneurship and preparing more Malaysians for a future driven by digital commerce.
