By Ming Zhen · 9th April, 2018
How do you announce the launch of your website to existing and potential customers? Preparing for the launch does require solid planning, will you have set aside a budget? Will your website launch create buzz, generate traffic and establish a relationship for your business?
What you should have?
Install MailerLite Popup Form
Install MailerLite for a popup subscriber form on your website to get subscribers. If you have an email list before launch will be more effective to announce. If not, we suggest you start to collect potential customer's email address before you even launch. Reach out to your database of customers through E-mail Marketing announcing the launch & its new features. Install on Easystore is free of charges. According to data of Mailmunch, if you have 2,000 people in your subscriber list, 2,000 people who like your page on Facebook – on average: 435 people will see your email and open it 120 of the people who like your Facebook page will see your post
Set up Facebook pixel
Facebook pixel allows you to track visits to the website for later retargeting using Facebook ads. Facebook ads data track back up to 6 months, so it’s better to install this code now to gather data going as far back as possible. With creating custom audiences, you can target the people who are right for your business. Using what you know about your customers, such as demographics, interests, and behaviors, connect with people similar to them.
- Go to your Audiences.
- If you already have audiences, click the Create Audience drop-down and select Custom Audience. If you don't have any audiences, you'll see audience creation buttons, rather than dropdowns. Click Create a Custom Audience.
- Choose a pixel.
- Set a rule section. There are standard rules and pixel event rules. Add rules to the section as desired.
- Add more inclusive or exclusive rule sections as desired. You can have up to 5 total rule sections per audience.
- Give your audience a name (and description, if desired).
- Click Create Audience.
- When we finish creating your audience, select it during ad set creation to reach the people in it with ads.
The installation is free on EasyStore.
Sign up for Google Analytics
With Google Analytics, you can track data about visits to the website — you want to know where traffic is coming from and what people are doing on the site. The installation is free! (Every app install on EasyStore is FREE!)
Tests on checkout process
Before you invite people to the site, make sure your checkout process is working smoothly. Walk through making a sample purchase and note any glitches in the process. You don't want to lose customer. Also, if you have any coupon codes during launch promotion, use them during the checkout process to ensure they’re working. Click HERE.
How to promote?
Share news of your site launch on Facebook page with a CTA (call-to-action): shop now or sign up to the email list! You promote and ask for like Facebook page, but always remember email list will have a higher conversion rate so try to capture email address rather than social fans. Use your friend and family's social network, to share your site launch or tag people who might be interested in your products.
You should start to create and post on Instagram before your website is live so you can build up a following. Once the site is live, make a series of Instagram posts announcing your launch. It’s nice to provide a special offer to Instagram follower.
Partnerships with bloggers and influencers
Find a blogger or influencer who has clout with your target audience and get them to make an announcement about your shop launch with a corresponding promo. You might have to pay for a mention here, but if you budget wisely you can get quite a bit of traffic from the right partnership.
Good luck with creating some buzz for your new website!
