If the courier discovers your parcel is heavier or larger than declared, they may apply a surcharge at EasyParcel’s normal rate for the extra weight or size.
What Happens If a Courier Finds a Misdeclared Parcel?
Delayed ShipmentIf a parcel’s actual size or weight doesn’t match the declared information, the courier may hold it at their hub until the outstanding surcharge is paid.
This will delay your shipment and affect your delivery schedule.
Excess Surcharge by CourierCouriers will apply an additional charge to the sender to cover the extra costs involved in handling and checking the misdeclared parcel.
In this case, you’ll no longer be charged the original discounted member rate.

Use your parcel’s dimensions (length, width, and height) to calculate its volumetric weight.
Simply key in your measurements using EasyParcel’s volumetric weight calculator, and the result will be shown in KG.
Step 3: Book Using the Higher Weight
When booking, always enter whichever is higher — actual weight or volumetric weight.
This ensures your parcel is charged correctly, helping couriers deliver it smoothly and on time.
