5 Things That WILL FAIL Entrepreneurs
By Thara Sofian · 23rd December, 2014
Whether you're in a football match, a singing competition or in an entrepreneurial journey, there is bound to be a winner and a loser. The question, how do you climb the ladder and be the winner? Here are the top 10 things that you should NEVER do as an entrepreneur. 1. Be jealous Seeing other people around you succeed should motivate you, even if they are your competitors. Every business has its own set of strengths and weaknesses, so focus on fixing your business's weakness and improve it. Don't be envious of your competitor's success and waste time focusing on other people's success or achievements as it will just sidetrack your own progress. 2. Look back They say don't dwell on the past, as it is the past that makes you stronger and wiser. In business, there will be times when you will be facing hard times, difficult decisions and possibly even failure at some point. Don't let that break you. Learn from your mistakes and move on, because failure is a first attempt in learning. 3. Make excuses If you make a bad decision and screw up, own it. If something doesn't work out as planned, don’t look for excuses. Find the root of the problem and find solutions to it. If you continue finding excuses to the mistakes that you made, you will never learn, and you will never succeed. 4. Stop learning They say knowledge is power. That is why, your age, years of experience or level of success should never prevent you from learning. There isn't a single person on this planet who knows everything as there is always something new that we can learn from each other. Join support groups or seminars to help you gain more insights in ecommerce or entrepreneurship. 5. Welcome negative vibes There are some people in this world where no matter what you say or what the situation is, they always chime in with negativity. Avoid this kind of people at all cost as their negativity can rub off on you. Surround yourself with positive minded lot instead, as they will keep you feel motivated and determined, the way you should be.
